Love eggs? From breakfast to desserts, eggs can be the star of the show or the supporting act. We know about the versatility of chicken eggs, but what about duck eggs?
There are a few differences:
Size. Duck eggs are larger then chicken eggs with varying coloration. But the most important factor to size is a larger , richer yolk in duck eggs. This means that there is more fat content in a duck egg vs. a chicken egg.
The Shell. Eggs shells are porous in nature allowing air to pass through the shell, duck eggs have a harder shell...so if your trying to get a nice clean crack...get a few extra eggs to practice with. Duck eggs will last a little longer then chicken eggs because the density of the shell.
